The cases chosen must go through many criteria including:

1. The case must involve human rights or environmental issue.

2. There must be spatial and architectural dimension so the agency can work and investigate around it.

3. Cases that allow new research techniques.

Forensic architecture is needed for conflicts and human right violation rapidly increasing in urban area, in homes and neighborhoods. The urban war confuse between civilians and combatants. These area have become media-rich as mobile phones are used to record human right violation. These cases can be sensitive and understanding them can be a challenge. Architectural analysis and digital modeling techniques allows to unravel the complexity and present the information in a convincing manner.
